What is the Georgia Mass Timber Accelerator?
The Georgia Mass Timber Accelerator serves as a launchpad for innovative wood design—offering architects, engineers and developers the resources and support to elevate mass timber projects across Georgia. This initiative helps turn a bold vision for a project into actionable reality.
Selected project teams are supported through a suite of Accelerator benefits, including:
Carbon Assessment
Life cycle assessment of embodied and embedded carbon comparing conventional and mass timber construction materials and practices
Cost-Benefit Analysis
Preliminary cost-benefit analysis for mass timber based on time, materials, and labor
Reporting
Summary project report with assessments and analysis
Financial Support
$25,000 in Cash

When is the application cycle?
Our 2025 application cycle is now OPEN! The deadline to apply is June 20, 2025.
How many projects are accepted?
Up to two more projects will be selected to participate in the Accelerator Program.
What is the accepted location for projects?
Any project in Georgia is eligible to apply to the Accelerator!

The Georgia Forestry Foundation, in partnership with the U.S. Forest Service and the Softwood Lumber Board, is excited to announce the selected projects for the Georgia Mass Timber Accelerator.
