The Georgia Mass Timber Accelerator Program will provide selected development teams with technical assistance and funding grants and integrate low carbon mass timber building practices into their projects.

Design & Planning

Preliminary building designs and plans integrating mass timber materials

Carbon Assessment

Life cycle assessment of embodied and embedded carbon comparing conventional and mass timber construction materials and practices

Cost-Benefit Analysis

Preliminary cost-benefit analysis for mass timber based on time, materials, and labor

Reporting

Summary project report with assessments and analysis

A four-story multi-family residential building in the Savannah downtown area

Frequently Asked Questions

When is the application cycle?

The application cycle opens on May 23, 2024 and will close on July 2, 2024 at 5 PM ET.

How many projects are accepted?

Up to eight (6) projects will be selected to participate in Round II of the Accelerator Program.

What is the accepted location for projects?

Any project within Georgia is eligible to apply to the Accelerator. This is different from Round I. The first round was only open to Metro Atlanta, not statewide.
